Connor started racing minimotos in 2004 at the age of 12, in his first season he won the North and Eastern Counties Minimoto junior B Championship. In 2005, he moved up into the Aprilia Superteen series and by the end of his first season he placed 9th in the standings.

2006 saw a massive leap, as he competed in the Aprilia Superteen series and the ACU Star (Formula 125). Gaining a runners-up spot in both series, Connor gained an abundance of wins. In the Superteen he had a terrific run, chalking up no less than 15 race victories - more than anyone else in the series- amid 21 podium finishes.

Of the 7 ACU Star rounds he competed in (1 clashed with the superteen) he had 5 podiums (3 wins, 1 second and 1 third). Connor was voted the Best Young Rider of the Year 2006 (Dunlop Trophy) and added his name to a list that includes legends Mike Hailwood, Jim Redman and Barry Sheene.

For 2007, at only 15 years old, Connor stepped up to compete in the British 125GP Championship. Riding with GR Motosport he gained valuable knowledge and experience on new tracks and finished 7th overall in the Dorna Academy Cup for under 16’s.

2008 has been a solid season in the British 125GP Championships for Connor. Finishing 5th in the overall standings and 4th  in the ACU Academy Cup, claiming a run of podium finishes and giving some outstanding performances. He was handed a wildcard to race in the MotoGP at Donington which was a great achievement and has added to his progress this season.

2009 has been an eventful season, riding for Steve Patrickson and the SP125 team, Connor has had his share of ups and downs.  With 5 DNF’s, 3 podiums finishes, 1 Pole position and his first BSB GP125 race win at Croft, Connor has shown his talent and determination at each round with outstanding performances.  Finishing 7th in the Championship, his natural progression is now to move up to the National Superstock 600 Championship in 2010.
