Brands Hatch Round 1 BSB GP125 Championship
With a few teething problems over the weekend, overall a great result for the first round of the BSB Championship. First qualifying was a disaster, with the chain snapping on the first lap, leaving a frustrated Connor last in the timings. Luckily, the next day, although foggy, the track was dry and Connor managed to get a few faster laps in, in the shortened session. Finishing 12th and on the 3rd row was a reasonable result after the problems of earlier.
Race day, Connor got off to a good start, and throughout the race was battling between 6th and 7th place. Martin Glossop got off to a flying start and lead from lights to flag. Vying with team mates, Lee Costello and Rob Guiver, Connor managed to get the better of them on the last lap, with an unfortunate Costello hitting the dirt due to a mechanical problem. Crossing the line in 6th place and with 10 points in the bag, it was a welcome result on his first outing on the new SP125 Racing Honda.
Looking forward to the next round at his favourite circuit, Oulton Park, Connor is confident and hoping for a spot on the podium.
